Biomass Thermal Energy Council Update
|
Greetings,
Now that the President has signed health care reform into law, Congress is now focusing on other key items on the domestic agenda. Energy and climate-related legislation are near the top of the list. BTEC is working hard to ensure that efficient, sustainable biomass thermal energy is featured in those discussions.
In addition to our legislative efforts, we are participating in two upcoming key conferences: Heating the Northeast with Renewable Biomass and International Biomass Conference and Expo. BTEC is a co-host of Heating the Northeast and will be speaking and exhibiting at the International Biomass show. More info on these events can be found below. I hope you will consider joining us at these important conferences to learn more about BTEC and the benefits of membership.
If you'd like to keep up to date on our efforts in between emails, bookmark our website, www.biomassthermal.org. There we post the latest news related to BTEC and the biomass thermal industry.
Enjoy the newsletter. Feel free to contact me if you'd like to discuss BTEC and membership!

BTEC Reaches Out to European Companies
|
In March, BTEC was represented at two conferences in Europe. Albrecht von Sydow, BTEC Director, highlighted the U.S. biomass thermal energy industry at the International Pellet Conference in Wels, Austria on March 3-5, which was very well received, and at the German American Energy Conference in Berlin, Germany on March 24.
We thank Albrecht von Sydow for his commitment in representing BTEC abroad.
