The Biomass Thermal Energy Council was officially introduced to the renewable energy community through its exhibition at the Renewable Energy Technology Conference and Expo (RETECH) 2009 in Las Vegas, NV.

Several Board members joined Executive Director Jeff Serfass and Program Coordinator Kyle Gibeault at the Las Vegas Convention Center for the February 25-27 Conference and Expo. Over 3,000 leaders in renewable energy attended the event.

“It was great to see the level of interest in BTEC at the conference,” said Mr. Serfass. “Quite a few attendees said they were glad to finally see a group representing the thermal component of biomass. That, combined with the conference session specifically on biomass thermal energy, tells me that this issue is starting to get the recognition it deserves.”
